What are MAREI Bucks and How Do I Get Them

There have been a lot of emails going out of late from the MAREI office that go something like this:

Thanks for referring Joe Schmo to MAREI last week.  We just added $15 in MAREI Bucks to your account.  They have not quite joined yet, but when they do, we will add another $15.  Thanks again.

First MAREI Bucks What are They?

Like Monopoly money you can’t actually use these dollars in stores. They have no paper form but are rather digital currency that you can only spend at MAREI. And it does expire if you don’t use it.

So really, it’s made up money that we add to your account that you can use to pay for your membership, a workshop, a training course or anything you might pay MAREI for.

Second How to Earn MAREI Bucks

There are two ways at present to earn MAREI Bucks:

Refer a Person to MAREI: When you refer a person to MAREI and you or they add your name as a referral, we will pay you a $15 MAREI Bucks finders fee of sorts. They don’t have to join, they just have to be registered into our system with a valid email address.

When they do join we will add another $15. If they join first visit that’s $30 altogether at once.

Just share the MAREI meeting with them and they can register for their free guest pass. There is a spot where they can tell us you referred them.

Volunteer at MAREI: We have a lot of little projects that we need help with. And we offer MAREI dollars in exchange.
