In September 2023 the Johnson County commission approved a three-month trial of the Johnson County Mediation Pilot Program. The purpose of the program is to intervein and settle tenant/landlord disputes and minimize court involvement. The goal is for better outcomes for both tenants and landlords to reduce conflict and mutually find acceptable resolutions. The Johnson County Mediation Pilot Program has been extended through to the end of 2024.
